You're confused. This list is about building a new OS with GNU userland and
*BSD kernel. The result is called GNU/*BSD, and this is the Debian distribution
which is working on this OS, so we call the whole thing "Debian GNU/*BSD"

This is in experimental stage, but if you want to try you're welcome to. I
recommend to install a FreeBSD system and convert it to GNU/FreeBSD from there,
using the base system tarball you can find in:

http://www.debian.org/ports/netbsd
