Hello Debian-design,Recently the issue was raised to remove the number '13' in the artwork of the Debian installer because the same image is also used to generate ISO-files (installer and live ISO-images) for forky and sid.
Would it be possible/meaningful to have:1) artwork that is 'unchanged' for unstable (sid), which can always be used and shows that this is the most volatile version of Debian? 2) artwork that is an 'in-between' version, that shows that it will be upcoming stable version, but it currently isn't and is a work-in-progress.
Such artwork would need at least: - A boot splash screen (for GRUB/isolinux) - A Debian-installer banner - A desktop background With kind regards, Roland Clobus Maintainer of the Debian live images PS: I'm now subscribed to design-devel -- See the following links for some background: Related to theming of testing/unstable: * https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1118486 * https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1084903 (about trixie) * https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1038660 * https://salsa.debian.org/installer-team/rootskel-gtk/-/merge_requests/6* https://salsa.debian.org/installer-team/debian-installer/-/merge_requests/71 * https://lists.debian.org/debian-desktop/2025/08/msg00002.html (desktop-base_14.0.0~pre1)
