Bug#1115115: debian-installer: Enabling backported software automatically installs packages from backports contrary to documentation

Source: debian-installer
Severity: serious

Dear Maintainer,

using debian-12.12.0-amd64-netinst.iso and choosing expert installer to install
debian, the screen shown in attached picture is displayed during the
installation.

When 'backported software' is enabled, it leads to linux-sysctl-defaults
package being automatically installed from backports, despite the text on the
attached picture saying "Enabling backports here does not cause any of them to
be installed by default".

This behavior contrary to the text presented to the user on the screen, not
expected by the user, and feels like a violation of debian policy because
packages come from an unexpected place. It also changes the linux sysctl
configuration, and thus differs from a regular bookworm system.

I think this happens because linux-sysctl-defaults is priority important in
bookworm-backports.

I expect the same problem to hit trixie debian-installer when some package with
priority important is uploaded to trixie-backports.
