Indeed, I am *well* aware that Debian does not support the reiser4
file
system that some of us use on a daily basis, as well as on our
remote
server(s).
Nevertheless, I had to point out that initramfs-tools commit
0df1765e902e56d9698beacc1cc056f327ed58c2
This has nothing to do on this mailing list.
Fact is d-i pulled in initramfs-tools and created the
initrd.img-5.17.0-3+reiser4.0.2-amd64 which left my newly installed
Debian Trixie system on reiser4 root '/' unbootable.
However, I would appreciate much if you would direct my message and/or
me, if the former were too much of an issue, to the proper mailing
list.
It looks like you've identified a probable cause on your own, so why
not
reportbug initramfs-tools
?
Rationale: if a regression is in initramfs-tools, then it needs to be
fixed in initramfs-tools.
