Package: installation-reports Boot method: USB stick Image version: https://mirrors.ucr.ac.cr/debian-cd/13.0.0/arm64/iso-cd/debian-13.0.0-arm64-netinst.iso Date: Fri Aug 29 03:58:55 PM CST 2025 Machine: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4 Processor: Broadcom BCM2711, Quad-core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC @ 1.8GHz Memory: 2GB Partitions: No partitions as it never reaches to do the partitions Output of lspci -knn (or lspci -nn): Running the installation remotely in a CI environment without physical access to the device. Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Initial boot: [O] Detect network card: [ ] Configure network: [ ] Detect media: [ ] Load installer modules: [ ] Detect hard drives: [ ] Partition hard drives: [ ] Install base system: [ ] Clock/timezone setup: [ ] User/password setup: [ ] Install tasks: [ ] Install boot loader: [ ] Overall install: [ ] Comments/Problems: Passing a preseed.cfg file, the installation becomes stuck with the following message: ```logs Detecting hardware to find installation media ... 2%... 95%... 100% Detect and mount installation media ----------------------------------- Your installation media couldn't be mounted. When installing from CD-ROM, this probably means that the disk was not in the drive. If so you can insert it and try again. Retry mounting installation media? 1: Yes [*] 2: No Prompt: '?' for help, default=1> ``` In this state, the ISO is booted via USB, so it's a bit strange to get this message. This is running in a CI environment where the testing is done remotely on the device. If there is a way to get the installer logs from a serial console, please let me know. I have attached the preseed.cfg file and Debian kernel logs. The same installation method is working on different HW. Thanks, » Javier Tia ✍
