Thanks for taking care of this!

Upgrading one of my test laptops with grub* packages from unstable
confirmed the fix looks good (based on the grub.cfg diff and on the
menu's being displayed at bootup).

(Plus signed packages mentioned in the follow-up.)

ACK from the d-i side.

Just for information (not a request to urgent those packages): we'll
want to have those packages migrated to testing before we can consider
the next d-i release, for Built-Using reasons.
