Bug#1107791: debootstrap: E: Target directory '/T' is not empty and it would be wiped
Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.140~bpo12+1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: tg@mirbsd.de
I wanted to debootstrap to a new filesystem on /T but…
E: Target directory '/T' is not empty and it would be wiped
I find this message a bit restrictive if just…
$ ls -l /T
total 17
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 1024 Jun 14 18:34 boot
drwx------ 2 root root 16384 Jun 14 18:40 lost+found
As a workaround, I did “mkdir /T/T”, will debootstrap into that,
then use the host’s mc(1) to move everything.
