I don't recall (and won't chase) the specifics, but ISTR readability
problems with e.g. bright white text overlapping on a bright(ish) white
Debian logo at the bottom, when you edit the Linux kernel cmdline.

At a step where you might be stuck with an unfamiliar keyboard layout,
that can be a little annoying.

I have one more topic to look into (review and likely extend) before
starting to build images locally, and testing them. I think I'll take
the splash screen(s) as is, and if any adjustments are needed, they can
wait until RC 2.
