Comments/Problems:
I booted the installer image debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso
with SHA256 checksum
be08aea29a104b3d8a186be595987faa257455e1ef97d9d3bc389495ac9478e3
(sorry, it doesn't seem to print its version).
Everything goes swimmingly, but then it says it didn't detect the
network card and invites me to select my driver from a list.
I looked at the syslog VT and it shows the system looking for, and
eventually finding, a firmware file WIFI_MT7922_patch_mcu_1_1_hdr.bin
(copy-typed, sorry). It then installs that, and there are messages
indicating that it has found the wifi card. Eg
mt7921e 0000:01:00.0 wlp1s0 from wlan0
Detected hotpluggable network interface wlp1s0
(copy-typed, sorry).
On a hunch, I selected "Go back" at the "No Ethernet card was
detected" screen, and then "Detect network hardware".
Then the wifi is detected and all is fine.
The problem is reproducible for me (3x so far). If you'd like me to
fish the logs out of the installer I can do that. I'm going to try to
completre the install now.
