Hello Roland,
Thanks for looking into this :)
Unfortunately the plasma-discover doesn't show the results for all kind of packages (for example kernels, nala, neofetch etc-etc) so it basically only shows apps with appstream metadata. Unfortunately there is a few, so in my honest opinion Discover can't list/fulfill of installing 100% of the debian repo's software selections.
For me it was ok to install Synaptic manually by hand because I remembered of it. But for non-technical users whom never heard of it might be useful of having it installed out of the box.
I'd say if there's a chance of making it to get installed by default would be a good start. Or if there's a Qt alternative specifically for KDE (like the discontinued Muon, or perhaps Apper?), or if its possible to make Plasma-Discover to also show the result for every single packages from debian repos including kernels and such that would be also a good one.
Thanks in advance

There is already a software center installed per default: plasma-discover.
The dependency chain is:
task-kde-desktop -> kde-standard -> kde-plasma-desktop ->
plasma-workspace -> plasma-desktop -> plasma-discover.
Can that fullfill this wishlist ticket?
Or @kde-list: would you like to have Synapic (or something else) added?
With kind regards,
