Ok, did read, but also too long, and that was before the changes
made on 2022-11.
I don't use debootstrap every day. Instead, I usually upgrade already
existing chroots from the bookworm of yesterday to the bookworm
of today. As a result, my chroots were naturally upgraded to usr-merge.
If this is not supposed to happen, I would ideally like to see it documented
somewhere (but I could agree that debootstrap is not to blame for that).
So, if the buildds are still running non-usr-merged chroot, can you at least
document the --usr-merge option which already exists? It will certainly be
needed when creating chroots for trixie from bookworm, so I would say it
should be documented (I guess that would be a one line change).
I'm retitling the bug accordingly.
