Hello Andrew!
Hello group!
Thank You for Your friendly help.
What did I do: (UPDATE 9 to 10)
Edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list using a text editor and replace each instance of stretch with buster.
Update the packages index on Debian Linux, run:
sudo apt update
Prepare for the operating system upgrade, run:
sudo apt upgrade
Finally, update Debian 9 to Debian 10 buster by running:
sudo apt full-upgrade
Afterwards
boot
Failed
Panic.
Now I do use revovery.
During booting I can choose
recovery
We do backup every evening.
Thank You.
Because Debian 10 is not working

You updated to Debian 10: Did you read the release notes or follow any procedure from the Debian web site [if so, which - where did you get the information in order to upgrade] When you write "I can only boot in recovery mode" - what exactly to you mean here? Can you describe the steps you have to take in order to boot? When you finally get in, what does the command uname -a show - which kernel is running? What does cat /etc/debian_version show? Once you are into the machine, what happens if you do an apt-get update ; apt-get dist-upgrade (or equivalent)? Does it show that any packages are held back or not fully installed? Do you have any vital data on this machine / anything that you must use and must save? If so, back it up, maybe. If we have problems sorting out Debian 10, would you consider a further update to Debian 11? Sorry to ask so many questions, I cannot see over your shoulder to help you and questions may be the best way to establish a starting position to enable us to help more :) Perhaps follow up to the debian-user mailing list - there are more of us there. With every good wish, as ever, Andy Cater |
