https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1351968 suggests looking up the console by major:minor instead of name when using /proc/consoles, would it be possible to have debian-installer do that? At the very least, it'd be nice to have some kind of workaround available, like specifying the console name on the command line or preseed file.
