Package: installation-reports Severity: important Tags: d-i Hello, While installing Debian using d-i 6.0rc1, on the "grub-installer/bootdev", I answered by an empty value. The installation seems to go well but in fact grub was not installed on any disk or partition. And so the reboot failed with a blinking underscore. I solved this issue by booting the CD in recovery mode and running "grub- install /dev/sda". This is not an easy fix for a newbie, and I suggest to forbid empty value for this question. Hi, similar to the installation-reports bugs, I'm closing the grub-installer reports below. These are reports for Debian 4 / 6 / 7 / 9 where grub-installer fails (for various reasons). There have been numerous changes/improvements on this topics in the past, and also because of the age of the reports we should consider these problems as being fixed (or it is even reported in the bugs that they are fixed).
