Comments/Problems: I played around and could see the error "/install.i386/vmlinuz not found". Saw this in multiple places.

<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.> I was trying to bring up a friends old machine with a decent OS, so I downloaded the latest debian DVD image and put it on a thumb drive.   Would not install. Tried both the full install (shown above) and the live image, both had issues.
I then went and downloaded a copy of ubuntu 17.04, and it installed fine, although it kind of sucks. But, I'm assuming that if it would install ok, that Debian should have installed if it wasn't for the error.
I did get to a "boot:" prompt, but not getting anywhere, not sure what commands I can or can't use. Trying the install command shown above I get the same error.
