Package: debian-installer
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I used the installer with the firmware included
firmware-buster-DI-rc2-amd64-DVD-1.iso

The installation succeded , but when i booted it for
first time i was droped to command line login.

(When i installed Debian 9 in the same system 2years ago
 didnt have that issue)

My GPU is : Radeon HD 5750.

I had to search it for an hour and the package
that was needed is: firmware-linux-nonfree , firmware-amd-graphics .

Hi,

since we have some kind of a next-generation installer, when it comes to
installation of (non-free) firmware, I'm closing all related old bugreports.

They have been helpful at the time, when they were filed, however now we have
a completely new situation / mechanism in place for this, so let's make a cut
now and close such bugs, and let people file new ones with recent installer
versions, if they still experience problems.

Thanks to all reporters!

Holger
