i struggled booting into a new install
as it hanged on 'loading initial ramdisk'
then at the end of a forum thread
my actual machine was also an acer, ES1-131 series
sorry i didnt fill the report form, as this is somewhat outside the install report
in a nutshell: had to enable certain file(s) for uefi, to then show up in boot list, all in secure boot mode
legacy and secure boot did not do it
i wish others would find above information, its very frustrating scrolling the forum entries to no avail
