Bug#969944: debian-installer: Screen is corrupted with boot parameter VGA=788

Package: debian-installer
Version: Screen is corrupted with boot parameter VGA=788
Severity: important
Tags: d-i
X-Debbugs-Cc: palazziandrea@yahoo.it

Dear Maintainer,

I'm installing a Debian Testing using the weekly build 20200907 and the screen
is corrupted and unreadable on my system.
The problem comes either with the graphical install and the expert install;
however if I remove the VGA=788 parameter from the boot line the expert install
screen is ok.
Didn't test the graphical install without this parameter.

I'm using a Radeon Vega 56 gpu.

Andrea
