Comments/Problems: I could not connect my computer to the internet while installing.

The installation seemed to have gone smoothly. Didn't notice any error messages while installing. Booting the installation leads to a GUI-less command prompt. No display manager in sight. Startx failed with some error message that disappears quickly. Then another command-prompt is displayed, but this one doesn't work. Typing anything into it does not work.
