Package: installation-reports
Good morning,
I've just made a temptative install of Debian 8.3 using
debian-8.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso on a USB stick. The install seems to run perfectly. No error msg. But impossible to
start the machine on the target key after reboot.I'm used to put an installer .iso on a USB stick with dd. I'm used to
install various Linux's (Ubuntu, Mint, formerly Debian) on hard disks
& USB sticks. The problems appeared in fact in the past with
debian-8.2.0-amd64-netinst.iso or with debian-8.2.0-i386-netinst.iso.
I managed to have a successful install with a debian 8.1, but not kept
track precisely.Formal bug report :
Package: installation-reports
Boot method:
- Boot on a 8GB USB stick on which the image
debian-8.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso has been installed with dd
if=debian-8.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso of=/dev/sdb
- The installer starts and seems to run perfectly
- Temptative to make the install on another 16 GB USB Stick which
appears as /dev/sdc under the installer.

At reboot on the target USB stick, this stick is perfectly seen in the
boot menu, the boot seems to operate normally for 1 or 2 seconds with
some lines of text rapidly appearing on the screen, then the screen in
wiped, emptied, and the cursor remains blinking in the top left corner
in text mode without ending.<Décrivez l'installation, les pensées, commentaires ou idées de propositions
