Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
Every time I tried to install a new MEDION computer (MEDION MS-7857/MS-7857,
BIOS M7857W08.203 01/06/2014) it was hanging during the install or even before
during boot.

The more time I use the computer the delays or hangs are for more seconds.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
As this system is a pre-installed windows 8 (64bits) with UEFI I thought it
might be for the UEFI boot that was hanging and I followed every help available
in Web. After few days trying and I was able to complete the install passing
this parameter to the kernel during the install boot (noapic).
   * What was the outcome of this action?
After removing windows 8 and the UEFI boot. It's better but the computers
stills freezes.
I see the following every time I boot:
   0.938114] AMD-Vi: Completion-Wait loop timed out
[ 1.049346] AMD-Vi: Completion-Wait loop timed out
[ 1.049387] AMD-Vi: Lazy IO/TLB flushing enabled
[ 1.049389] PCI-DMA: Using software bounce buffering for IO (SWIOTLB)
[ 1.049391] Placing 64MB software IO TLB between ffff88008a278000 -
ffff88008e278000
[ 1.049392] software IO TLB at phys 0x8a278000 - 0x8e278000
[ 1.049792] [Firmware Bug]: cpu 0, try to use APIC500 (LVT offset 0) for
vector 0x10400, but the register is already in use for vector 0xf9 on another
cpu
[ 1.049836] [Firmware Bug]: cpu 0, IBS interrupt offset 0 not available
(MSRC001103A=0x0000000000000100)
[ 1.049876] Failed to setup IBS, -22

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
   The computer not to hang.

I'm closing the reports below.

That's installation-reports for Debian 7 with
- undefined errors
- problems which are likely to have been fixed in the meantime
- successful installation

Because of the age, there is no chance to analyse them further and therefore
they are no longer relevant or of any use for current releases:
