Dear Maintainer,

I've installed fresh Debian 8.6.0 without any issues or warning, then rebooted.
The machine freezes shortly after the boot process starts. The only output is:

and here it hangs (no sign of progress even after half a hour)

Comments/Problems:

Install went to the sdb2 and sdb5 partitions. The system is planned to be
a multiboot machine with Debian and two other operating systems, with all
of the root filesystems residing on the SSD (sdb). The remaining disks
are to be partitioned later for non-root disks using RAID 0 and RAID 1.

The BIOS boots the system in legacy mode (UEFI support in the other systems
is not yet clear). Out of curiosity, I've tried the UEFI boot as well
and it stops with an error message about skipping some of the configuration
file (sorry, can't test it now, if it's important, Ill send the message
via email). Now I'm filling out the report using the installation CD
and chroot /mnt; it seems that the kernel is running without any issues,
also the target filesystem looks "good". Dmesg output of the install CD
is attached.

During the install, there happened nothig that would suggest that 
the system will not start up correctly after reboot.
