Package: debian-installer-manual
Severity: minor

Hi !

In Appendix D3.4.3, the manual say to use "127.0.0.1 localhost
DebianHostName" in /etc/hosts. I think that we should follow what is
done by the debian installer :

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.1.1 DebianFullyQualifiedHostName DebianHostName

-- System Information:
Debian Release: 4.0
  APT prefers unstable
APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental')
Architecture: i386 (i686)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash
Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686-bigmem
Locale: LANG=fr_FR@euro, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR@euro (charmap=ISO-8859-15)

The current installation-guide has this in the said example in D.3.4.4
https://d-i.debian.org/doc/installation-guide/en.amd64/apds03.html#idm4322:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 DebianHostName

... and that's exactly what is set by the current (bullseye) installer.

So closing this bug.

Holger
