Comments/Problems:

Booting on the USB stick result in a grub error "no such device: /.disk/info" after which a grub shell is started.

The laptop seems to be only able to boot in UEFI mode (ie: There's no "Enable legacy booting" or "Compatible Support Module on/off" setting): The only UEFI related option I could find was "secure boot" which I've tried both enabled and disabled (though more extensively tried with that setting disabled).

I could boot a systemRescueCD from that USB stick.

Comparing both images, I can see that running parted's print command against the debian-installer iso shows a strange result:

root@debian-cyr:/root# parted debian-bullseye-DI-alpha2-amd64-netinst.iso

GNU Parted 3.3

Using /root/debian-bullseye-DI-alpha2-amd64-netinst.iso

(parted) print

Warning: The driver descriptor says the physical block size is 2048 bytes, but Linux says it is 512 bytes.

While launching the same command against the systemRescueCD iso shows a more "normal" result:

root@debian-cyr:/root# parted systemrescuecd-amd64-6.1.3.iso

GNU Parted 3.3

Using /root/systemrescuecd-amd64-6.1.3.iso

Any idea what could be going wrong and/or what to try to solve the issue?
