The menus are great,

But you forgot one item.

"Reboot".

You see, no matter how the user scours the menus,
he cannot find the proper way to exit (reboot).

"Well he is supposed to know how to do that himself!"

Yes, but he wants the "proper" way to get out of your menus.

He is worried that just guessing some way, or hitting the power button,
might mess things up. Plus he is offline at the remote N. Korean nuke
site so he can't just Google the answer.

You do intend him to have a proper way to get out right?

OK, the only proper way is to follow through to the end: install a
debian operating system, after which the menus finally say the next step
will reboot your computer.
