Bug#943795: installation-reports: Does not automatically load firmware from ext4 stick

Hello,

While trying to debug something about wifi during d-i, I actually had
an issue: I had put the content of my /lib/firmware directory on a USB
stick, which happened to be formatted as ext4. d-i was not able to read
from it, even if the ext4-modules udeb was loaded. I had to type
"modprobe ext4" by hand to get firmware files loaded from the stick.

Comments/Problems:

Booted with 2 USB sticks: one with the d-i netinst image, the other one
formatted as ext4 with the content of /lib/firmware copied to it.

Let it discover network devices, tell it to indeed load firmware from
removable media. It doesn't find anything.

Workaround:

right after the udeb module loading step, switch to VT2 to run
"modprobe ext4" there, go back to VT1. When telling it to load firmware
from removable media, it does find them.
