Just because they can use apt doesn't mean the packages are compatible
with debian.  And if they work with apt, then you can add the repositories
to your sources.list yourself.  If that doesn't work then almost certainly
those packages are not debian compatible.

Even ubuntu packages are not always compatible with debian and ubuntu
is actually based on debian.
