Bug#928609: AW: [Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#928609: network-manager: Invalid system-connections configuration during preseeding

Hello again,

do to me using the machine currently for a longer while, I will not be able to reinstall it so I can keep the `Wired Connection 1` file. I'll try to give it to you as soon as possible though.
The syslog file is something I can send you though, no issues.

I hope attaching it works, if not I'll find a way to post it.

Kind Regards,
Yannick Schinko

It would probably also be a good idea to share the "Wired connection 1"
config file.
I'm only guessing here, but I assume Yannick wants the connection profile to be bound to a certain interface. Connection profiles can apply to multiple interfaces given the conditions in the connection profile are met.

If you want to bind a connection profile to a certain hardware interface, you can e.g. use mac-address=.
For a wifi interface, this would be:

[wifi]
mac-address=00:23:5a:47:1f:71

for an ethernet connection:

[802-3-ethernet]
mac-address=00:23:5a:47:1f:71

See nm-settings-keyfile and nm-settings.

I'm undecided whether setting mac-address= by default is a good idea or not.
