Chose the default of one big partition. No errors. I even tried it both ways on this UEFI choice:

And starting the installer both ways as shown in Bug#925579 . LS> Clearly the initramfs was able to mount /dev and run fsck, but mounting LS> it to /root/dev to transfer to the real rootfs failed due to a missing LS> directory. Anyway I am on my super low bandwidth mountain now for the next few months, (no network installs, no more casually downloading ISOs), so I'll have to make do with this one.
