Bug#922604: all_kbdnames data structure corrupt

Package: console-setup
Version: 1.189

The keyboard-configuration deb is created as part of this package.

This includes (in the debian subdirectory) the file 'config', which is copied to the target system as /var/lib/dpkg/info/keyboard-configuration.config, from where it is used by 'dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration'.

This file includes the data structure all_kbdnames, which is a database of keyboard models and variants with international translations for relevant names. This data structure appears to be auto-generated when the package is built by running the kbdnames-maker utility included as part of the package.

Under the testing releases of Debian, this data structure is not being generated correctly. It includes incorrect translations - many entries are incorrectly labelled with Cyrillic script, for example, and most translations are in Afrikaans rather than the correct language.

This database is correct in the stable release version 1.164 of the package; it is corrupt in version 1.188 and 1.189. Rebuilding the package locally from the source archive creates a corrupt database, so it isn't a one-off error in the package.
