Bug#890262: (no subject)



Hi,
I bumped into this problem too and got it fixed with
echo "COMPRESS=xz" > /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/compress

Running dpkg --configure -a ended up succeeding the flash-kernel part
and I launched a reboot of the QNAP 109.

I now have another problem (should I file another bugs?), openning up
the serial console I get stuck on "Uncompressing Linux... done, booting
the kernel." I don't know if it's stuck of if it's just that the serial
console is down. The HDD led seems to be flickering but the HDD doesn't
feel like it's churning at a fscheck (which can take forever with a 2TB
disk). I'm going to leave it running overnight to see if it ends up
being reachable via the network.

Is there a way to tell uboot to boot on the previous kernel ? (idealy
from disk, but even with tftp)
