Package: os-prober

Severity: important

While purging an old kernel from my stretch machine today I saw a lot of
errors being output at the end when the Grub config was being updated:

WARNING: PV cU7LfS-Hy15-lqhf-BBlB-b6HB-mxuG-Cij5Pu prefers device /dev/sda2 because device is used by LV.

(Warnings repeated many times)

lvm continued to be unhappy after the "apt purge" had finished until I
did a "dmsetup remove osprober-linux-sda2".

os-prober-udeb - utility to detect other OSes on a set of drives (udeb)
Closes: 853163 853927 860833
Changes:
 os-prober (1.75) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Remove code using device mapper (Closes: #860833, #853927, #853163).
This code doesn't work in d-i and it has some issues outside d-i. All
architectures can use the grub-mount codepath, which was already the
     default anyway.
This also removes the dependency on dmsetup.
