RE: Beginner guidance sought - creating my own boot environment based on the Debian installer

You might be looking for debian preseed capability?  https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/apb.html

I pxeboot my servers, and feed them a preseed file to auto install the basic operating system to get to a minimal stable system.

I then use SaltStack to automatically install applications and associated configurations.

Subject: Beginner guidance sought - creating my own boot environment based on the Debian installer

Hello,

I am looking to create a rescue system, there is active discussion on the topic here, https://forum.manjaro.org/t/linux-vs-windows-my-experiences-and-a-possible-idea/36377

I wish to go from boot, to the the start of the installer, where can I obtain documentation on this process?
