FWIW, a test with a post Stretch Alpha 8 image (local build) seems to
install just fine with / on XFS, and xfsprogs is installed; in tasksel,
only ssh task and standard task were selected.

It would be nice to know what the status on jessie is; maybe a fix is
needed there?
