Bug#813378: Debian 8.3 doesn't start after a "no pb" netinstall on a USB key.

Hi,

Thanx for that reply !

No, my laptop doesn't have UEFI (Thanx God ...!!! ;-),

The installer has then been started in "normal" mode, and I hope and I believe that the installed system is configured to start in normal mode too. The question has not been asked by the installer during installation.

But, since there are several text lines appearing during some fractions of second on the screen at boot time, it's not excluded that they contain some comments about the problems encountered during the boot process. But it goes out so fast that I can't see anything.

If useful, I can try to put online a compressed image of the key (1.9 GB) so as to allow some tests.

Thank's for your help !

Hello,

does that laptop have UEFI? If yes, in which mode (UEFI or
CSM/"BIOS" mode) has the installer been booted and in which mode
is the final installation booted?

I have seen the effect that some UEFI implementations use
different default boot modes for different devices, and booting a
CSM/"BIOS" mode installation in UEFI mode and vice versa fails,
so a boot mode mismatch could be a possible cause for your
problem.
