That's great! I stumbled over this non-supported langs for pdf some days
ago, too.

I did some tests with ja and de, seems to work fine so far.
I have adjusted the build depends and changelog accordingly, too.
Will do a complete build this evening, let's see how it goes.
If build goes fine, I will upload to http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/manual/
(maybe tomorrow), and then call some people for review of the pdfs,
to avoid surprises.
