Any update on this? After further testing from Jonas Meurer, (X-Debbugs-CC'ed) the second patch, while cleaner IMHO, seems to break the installation in ways I wasn't able to debug nor reproduce. The first patch ‘0001-Avoid-calling-apt-cdrom-8-on-file-mirrors.patch’ in <20160118163240.GA29197@localhost.localdomain> works for both of us though, and since it's also less invasive, I guess it should be easier to see whether it has undesired side-effects in some installations.
