Bug#831999: installation-reports: non-free firmware: installer-Msg should mention: FAT-File System is needed on external media

Package: installation-reports
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

My installation needed non-free firmware.

+ i try to place it on a ext3-external HDD.

+ plugged it in as requested, but the installer didnt find anything, the
mount-command fails with "invalid argumnts"(?)

+ but the installer did'nt told me this, i had to look at tty4.

My suggestions:

+! the installer should tell me that FAT FS is needed.

+ it also should tell where (which directory, which files ) and what
file-format (deb and *fw).

( + or even better also handle extX FS. )

+! and/or report failed mount atempts more user-friendly.

Comments/Problems:

The Message from the Installer (in german):
"Teile ihrer Hardware benötigen nicht-freie Firmware-Dateien, um zu
funktionieren. Die Firmware kann von einem Wechseldatenträger, wie einem
usb-stick oder einer diskette, geladen werden."

I suggest the following Information to add:
"external media must be FAT (32? 16?) -formated"
"the Fw-Files could be in rtl_nic/rtl8168e-3.fw or in a .deb-archive or
whatever"
