I tried the daily build but I get a kernel panic.

# wget http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/daily/arch-latest/powerpc/iso-cd/debian-testing-powerpc-netinst.iso
# sha1sum debian-testing-powerpc-netinst.iso

I used the boot.img.gz to create a bootable USB key:

thanks

Closing. I cannot reproduce if I `dd` the iso directly on the USB key.
It must have been a kernel mismatch in between the USB hd-media I
`zcat` onto the HFS USB key and the iso I `cp` on it.
