Thanks for confirming this.  (I know this isn't the problem you were
reporting, but I hear some issues around that and just wanted to
ensure this is working.)

I'm not trying to portray that the current behaviour is ideal.  Sorry
if I gave that impression.  I just wanted to explain why the installer
is working the way it is today.
