Re: Trying to install Debian on an Asus VivoTab Smart ME400C

First of all thanks for your reply. I have tested your suggestions with
unfortunately little luck.

First of all I can confirm that the machine doesn't hang like I thought it
did, the kernel runs Ok, which is great, however I cannot access the machine
as I don't yet have any net or keyboard or any other access to it :-(

Ok, I'm runing 686-pae 4.2 version from testing, however as you guessed
this doesn't change a thing.

> Some kernel parameters to try:

I tried this all, it didn't make any difference, after diffing kernel.log
the only significative output differente was that:
> pci_bus 0000:00: max bus depth: 0 pci_try_num: 1
was added whenever realloc was used.

I also tried other options related to pci and bios, like earlydump, bios,
biosirq, ...

I didn't get any info from earlydump as expected, and asking to use bios
(this is uefi, and thus not bios) ended up with this diffs:
> PCI: System does not support PCI
> system 00:00: [mem 0xfec00000-0xfec00fff] has been reserved

I'm pasting the output from the 4.2 kernel just in case it can show anything
new, but I'm hoping to hear from new ideas as I really don't know how to go
on.

The machine does have Windows installed and it is working, so maybe some of
the info that the firmware doesn't provide can be obtained from it and
somehow inyected to Linux?
