Bug#771485: installation-reports: Installation disk scan hangs at 81% with LVM inside crypt partition

Package: installation-reports
Followup-For: Bug #771485

Dear Maintainer,

I can reproduce this bug in virtualbox. I have found a workaround which may
further clarify the original problem. Whenever I have multiple initialized
dm-crypt volumes and then write an LVM group configuration into one of them, the
installer hangs. Having only ONE configured dm-crypt volume and then adding
an LVM group with logical volumes seems to work though. After doing so, new
volumes for encryption can be added/initialized/removed/modified and LVM
configuration can be modified until your heart's content, including
configurations which meet the original criteria above for causing error.
