Bug#792366: workaround to not being able to install Deb 8.1

Hello Debian,


What solved the installation crashes for me was:

  1) Do not install using LVM, just plain old-fashioned partitions.

  2) Before continuing to 'choose and install software / packages' use
the command line to manually install the discover package and edit the
config file so that is does not try to scan the USB and/or SCSI buses.
Scanning these freezes the acer aspire e11 e12-111m laptop) system

p.s. Still not quite sure which package(s) this trouble belongs to.  It
might be the installer, the mkinitrd package, the discover packages or
the dependencies between them.
