Bug#785694: cdrom-detect, isohybrid image fails "no common CD-ROM was detected" from "internal" block device
Package: cdrom-detect
Version: 1.49 ?jessie
Software: debian-8.0.0-amd64-netinst.iso
http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/8.0.0/amd64/iso-cd/debian-8.0.0-amd64-netinst.iso

Problem: “no common CD-ROM was detected”
This issue #588646 seems not fully fixed, for example internal block
devices with the isohybrid image written(dd) to it, which are
connected directly to the motherboard SATA interface (AHCI or IDE
mode) still fail to detect the iso hybrid cdrom image on the same
blockdevice, therefor failing the debian installer! It won't
matter/helps if its the only single blockdevice connected to the
motherboard. Removing the real physical SATA cdrom/dvd drive won't
help either still same error message.
Expected behaviour:
The debian-8.0.0-amd64-netinst.iso must behave the same on a internal
blockdevice connected through a internal SATA/PATA/ETC(any mode)
controller as on a external blockdevices through a USB controller.
A USB connected block device like a pendrive/hdd with the isohybrid
image dd't on to it will boot the debian installer and further during
the installation process it will detect the cdrom image located on the
blockdevice and the installation can finish succesfull.
Hardware:
*motherboards: ASUS p5k-e-wifi-ap ich9r, Jetway NF9I-2550 ich8m
*blockdevices: Kingston SSD 8GB, Hitachi HTS545032B9SA00
*AHCI/IDE mode, different sata ports
