beta 2 installing but not booting on macbook air
same issue with jessie weekly build 12/20/2014
trying to run on 2014 Macbook Air with osx deleted (have no use for it)
- docs say it should handle efi boot and we don't need refit (good)
live CD boots and runs fine. Install to hd seems to work fine. Then
does not boot.
Have tried with different partition configs:
fedora 21 installs and boots fine - they create the following partitions:
sda1 /hfs+ 500 mb
sda2 /boot 500 mb
sda3 / .....
Jessie Installer demands an efi partition so tried the following
1) guided partitions w/ home - does not boot
2) try same partition as fedora that works - does not boot
sda1 /hfs+
sda2 /efi
sda3 / .....
3) try guided partition w/home - does not boot
4) try manual - does not boot
sda1 /efi
sda2 /boot
sda3 / ......
5) try another - does not boot
sda1 /efi
sda2 / ......
6) try another - does not boot
sda1 /vfat gpt vfat
sda2 /efi
sda3 / ......
also tried with xubuntu 14.10 and latest mint - neither booted
it's obviously some hook between the mac boot and grub - fedora seems to
handle it but looking at the fedora partitions with gparted can't see
what they are doing
any ideas or help ?
