So we switched away from DirectFB a while ago; I've just removed that (that lives in src:debian-installer): http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=d-i/debian-installer.git;a=commitdiff;h=0917b2d There's plenty of time before jessie, and it can be reverted if people complain and we find out that's actually still needed.
