I am trying to load a SD card with Raspberry Rasbian Linux 09/25/2013
so that I can use the adafruit 1601 touchscreen.

It appears that I cannot write files to the card with a WinXP or Win7
system. It may help to have a boot USB flash drive or boot CD with
Linux to run on my disktop or laptop to manage files on the boot SD
drive. I did not want to disturb anything on my C: drives!
I studied the literature for several days to avoid doing anything
destructive but I did not want to delay any longer!

I downloaded from
cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/7.4.0/i386/iso-cd/debian-7.4.0-i386-netinst.iso
debian-7.4.0-i386-netinst.iso 290,455,552 02/23/2014 09:44 PM

I used
cdburn e: c:\Docume~1\corwin\MyDocu~1\Downloads\debian-7.4.0-i386-netinst.iso
22a00 blocks in ISO image /-\|/-\|
     Finished Writing
     Synchronizing Cache: burn successful!

I was unable to discern that the Installer was going to disturb my C: drive

Then it automatically did a bunch of things ending with
  Debian-Installer loader: Completed
and then I discovered that it disturbed my C: crive!

    Created uninstaller: C:\win32-loader\Uninstall.exe
    Copy to C:\win32-loader\linux
    Copy to C:\win32-loader\initrd.gz
    Generating C:\win32-loader\grub.cfg
    Extract: C:\win32-loader\cpio.exe
    Extract: C:\win32-loader\gzip.exe
    Appending preseeding information to C:\win32-loader\initrd.gz
    Copy to C:\g2\dr
    Copy to C:\g2ldr.mbr
    Registering in NTLDR
Disabling NTFS compression in bootstrap files
    Completed
    win32-loader 0.7.4.7+deb7u1

How do I resore my C: drive to Windows only? Other people reboot
this machine when they need it and I do not want them to choose
the 'finish installing Debian Linux'! I have hidden what I thought
was a boot CD for Linux; is this enough to prevent further damage?
