decrufting hw-detect?
Hi all,
hw-detect is a package missing in testing for arm64 and ppc64el. It is
needed if we want to at least imagine running debian-installer with
testing udebs on these architectures.
It missed twice the migration to testing due to a new upload, and it
seems it won't migrate automatically as it needs a manual decruft from
the ftpmasters. The automated cruft script seems to be confused by the
old new archdetect-udeb, with some additional provides:
| * source package hw-detect version 1.104 no longer builds
| binary package(s): archdetect-udeb
| on amd64,arm64,armel,armhf,hurd-i386,i386,kfreebsd-amd64,kfreebsd-i386,mips,mipsel,powerpc,ppc64el,s390x,sparc
| - suggested command:
| dak rm -m "[auto-cruft] NBS (no longer built by hw-detect)" -s unstable -a amd64,arm64,armel,armhf,hurd-i386,i386,kfreebsd-amd64,kfreebsd-i386,mips,mipsel,powerpc,ppc64el,s390x,sparc -p -R -b archdetect-udeb
| - broken Depends:
| base-installer: bootstrap-base
| hw-detect: hw-detect
| live-installer: live-installer
| partman-base: partman-base
| prep-installer: prep-installer [powerpc]
| quik-installer: quik-installer [powerpc]
| silo-installer: silo-installer [sparc]
| yaboot-installer: yaboot-installer [powerpc]
Should we ask the ftpmasters for archdetect-udeb to be removed?
Thanks,
Aurelien
