There are several places where you can find the release name:

kibi@arya:~/debian-installer/manual$ ack-grep jessie
build/buildone.sh
59:        manual_release="jessie"

build/build.sh
8:manual_release=${manual_release:=jessie}

build/buildweb.sh
8:manual_release=${manual_release:=jessie}

build/entities/common.ent
14:<!ENTITY releasename "jessie">


I think we tend to update those all at once, but I think I'd go for
common.ent

Busy with d-i things right now, so won't be sending a patch. Maybe later
