Bug#748759: debian-installer: Configuration of grub-efi-amd64 fails because /dev/ is not bind-mounted in /target
Package: debian-installer
Severity: important
Tags: d-i
Dear Maintainer,
While using the
Debian GNU/Linux testing "Jessie" - Official Snapshot amd64 NETINST Binary-1 20140520-00:27
netinst image, at the very last step (installing grub-efi-amd64), it failed to set it up with the
"Path `/boot/grub' is not readable by GRUB on boot. Installation is impossible. Aborting." error.
Further attempts also show "/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of /dev/sda2."
Using the tty2 to bind-mount /dev as /target/dev lets the installation succeed.
Cheers,
Adrian (and OdyX)
